I've heard people say that IUDs can get lost inside the body or migrate to other organs. Is that true? It sounds scary!

I can understand why that would be concerning, but it's actually a myth. IUDs are designed to stay in place within the uterus. In rare cases where the IUD does shift or dislodge, it usually doesn't travel far and can be easily removed by a healthcare professional.

Another misconception I've come across is that IUD insertion is extremely painful. While it can cause some discomfort, the pain varies from person to person. Many individuals report only mild cramping during and after the insertion, which typically subsides within a short time.
